Life in ‘remote’ communities is often a bit different.  The big annual event in Julia Creek took place on the weekend and featured, amongst other things, “Australia’s Best Butt” competition.  A more family oriented offering was the street parade.  Swim Australia supporters Chris and Naomi Smith, from the local pool, got the message out in a big way – displaying the Australian Unity Learn to Swim banners.  Pictured below is the ‘float’ preparing for the parade.
